Since it was buried in a previous post, I figured I'd start a new one. Who would be interested in getting together, hanging out and maybe painting up some baits? Bob O has said he has room and a spray booth at his house. I'd be interested in doing it. Would anyone else be interested in having a get together? Hey Bob, if you change your mind, let us know :).
I'd sure try to be there
it's still a go, jan, feb or march?
im me for the address
I would like to attend. If only to watch, eat and drink.

That's too bad Rick. If there is a rematch, you get to pick the date (although I can't guarantee I'll be there :D)
who need my address or cell number? we will be painting baits and drinking beer on Feb 12th in Livonia
me need

If you can't be there, then what would be the point?
I usually don't care what day things happen on. In fact 2/12 is one of the few days this winter that I can't go.
Hey guys! This date is close enough to my birthday that we could include a little celebration for myself.
I think it would be a good idea that everyone bring an extra bait to paint and then gift to me. I will then judge the baits based on the quality of the work and declare a winner. The winner will receive the first piece of the cake that you guys all pitched in to buy. Ice Cream cake would be cool!
Just an idea. We have time to work out all the details. :D

Sounds good to me. How old will you be wags 60 or 61 ? Are you sure the doctor says you can have some ice-cream ?
You know we will be out late (after dark)so make sure the wife pins a note on your shirt with your name, address and ph number so that you may find your way home.... ;D ;D

hahaha i hear that Primer is going to be a hot pattern this year
I think thats a fantastic idea Wags. Especially considering, its closer to MY birthday than it is yours. LOL
It's less than two weeks from my B day as well.
@Bob, I thought that it was a lock on 2/12, if not most other weekends in March or late February would work for me.
yea, it's locked now, hopfully we can get together again in the spring
Are we doing the swap meet again this year. There were some pretty good trades made last year. I'm in if we have one

i don't know, but i guess we can trade some stuff too.
ahhhhh - if we are swap meeting ... I have some home brew (RED Ale) that could use some taste testers ......
Cheetam - what is the 2010 report on the goby colors you showed last year ? Did they do ok ? Has anyone asked you to paint a bait in that Methi-o-lade color ?? lol
Wags, I got high $$$$$$ this year to buy that spinner bait rod you lent me for the regional. SSSSAWEET combo ! Oh - and I'll bring the fire extiguisher for your cake :o
Still have a Nemisis hat for Laporte, and a certain rattletrap ;D
Bob O - do you need plastic or anything to cover furniture ? Big space heater if we are in a garage ? Let us know.
Bob O - What dish would you want us to pass - cause it sounds like this is on !
My goby patterns don't catch fish. Period. I stopped painting them because they don't catch fish. They definitely don't catch big St. Clair and Erie smallmouth. You will never see one tied on one of my rods. ;)
My DD22 Goby is so tore up, it looks like a sucker fish with age spots.
I think I am going to repaint this one at the "bob-o Meet-Eat-Drink-Paint-Swap-mikesmiph Birthday Sleepover" ;)
I need something sweet for Kentucky Lake just in case I need to get deep.
I'll bring cake for miksmiph and some cheap bait I can slap some orange paint on and give to him. :D
i'll be needing another goby b/c mine is at the bottom of LSC still tied to a 7' cranking rod w/Quantum tour pt on the handle >:( (3) 4ft waves in a row darnit. so i will need another, maybe i can paint my own on demo day.
food = i'll have some chile ready, other than that nothing yet. i guess we will have to start a list
Mojo = i got some homebrew on tap that will creep up on you and bonk you in the head. sounds like we have to have a homebrew/fishing get together. i'm thinking March/April
Wags, that is soooooo gererous of you. What a guy. I already have your birthday presents. You never picked them up at the show. "Orange crankbait", hmmmmmmm, I wonder what that would catch.

so your going to be the DD
See all Y'all tomorrow noonish!!!!!
Quick questions to the group...what are your expectations for tomorrow (excluding having a couple pops, Wags :D)? I'm curious what everyone wants to see and get out of it. Does anyone else plan on painting? See all y'all tomorrow ;D
I know you are all going to be deeply disappointed, hopefully not to the point of tears, but I may not be able to make it tomorrow. Some issues came up where I have to watch my grandson for a while, then have him someplace later. If I can get there, I will.
I will be working. but at least I will have more money to buy jigs and stuff.
have fun

I guess I have to buy a cake then.
Sadly, I'll be working also. I'm having bartender issues which means I have to be the bartender.
Well it looks like just me and you Jeff.
Here is what I want to get out of it.
Let's say I bring some Two Hearted Ale and some cranks.
I sit back and watch you and bobO paint my cranks in various
Kentucky Lake patterns. Who knows, I just might learn something.
burp!

hey jeff if you have any clear coating you need to do bring it on over the spray booth has plenty of ventlation. and if we get tired of painting there is always the pool table or slot car racing to play with
Don't forget about the big guy !!! You can keep the adult pops but he needs food ;D

Oh Shoot! Hide the refrigerator bob! Heavy D will be putting on the feed bag! ;D
there is a pot of chile on the stove as i type this, you guys like it mild or wild?
so far the menu is:
chile, cake and beer and pop whats your flavor laport?
I'll have Capt Charlie with me too.
Bob- For the chili, if you make it on the 'medium' side, we can add more spice if we need to.
I'll bring all of my stuff and we'll just play it by ear. (hint: whomever bribes me with the best goodies will get preferential treatment ;D)
