Title: Hardy Dam Pond on Saturday
Post by: tigar on May 02, 2011, 06:37:13 AM
Hardy 7 AM Saturday, there were many walleye fisherman drifting (as expected). The water temp was 50, the water was very muddy, and the winds were high. Spend much of the day playing with the new toys-HB's

New Hbirds on the deck- $you already know
Half a tank in the boat-$107
breakfast at McD (for two, not just for me)- $12
Taking my son and his Lab (who wanted my lure much more than the smallies)- Priceless

i normally go there for the opener, the wind i can handle but heard the water was muddy, dirty and high

glad to see the temps are up there, i think the ice just came off like 2-3 weeks ago. will have to get up there soon. How was fishing?

We didnt have much luck, with the lab chasing lures and me playing with my new Birds. I did talk to quite a few guys (both bass fishing and walleyes), getting skunked. I only heard of 1 catching two hammerhandles. It was not pretty, muddy was an understatement.

haha i don't take my lab in my bass boat anymore either. i took him as a pup and anything that makes a splash he wants to go get. he is a lean 96lbs so if he wants to jump, there's not much thats gonna stop him.

I think he was beating a path around the boat, and like yours- way too big to stop when he decides to really go after the lure. Lesson learned!
