My mother in laws health is beginning to fail. 4 years ago she had sufferred several strokes and was not able to live alone any longer, so my wife and I with our children moved in to her house to take care of her . Along with the strokes, she is diabetic and has developed an ulcerous wound on her foot. She also for the past 7 months has been bed ridden with a feeding tube and cathiter due to another stroke. The home health nurse will be here tommorrow to get a culture of her wound. I just pray God's will be done in these circumstances.

As we get older, things sure don't get any easier. I hope things smooth out for all of you in any way they can and that you face the challenges you need to as best you can.
Doug,
Praying for her right now and also that God will strengthen you and help you make the right decisions. Praying that God helps you cope as well with the challenges.
Thanks for the prayers. She showed a little improvement today, smiled at my wife this morning. We just take each day as it comes, and with God's help will get through these challenging times we will be faced with. Again thank-you.

Thank-you all for the prayers over the past weeks. On Saturday just after I weighed in, I got the phone call. My wife had to have her mom taken to the hospital because her feeding tube had come loose and was bleeding pretty bad. Needless to say my 6 hour drive home felt like a week. On Monday afternoon she passed away. Again, thank all of you for the prayers and the continued prayers, you guy's are a special group and one that I have been proud to be a part of.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother in law. My prayers are with you.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Doug. I'll be thinking about you this week.
Doug, our hearts go out to ya. If there is anything at all we can do, let us know. I pray that God comforts everyone affected.
Thank you for all you thoughts and prayers. I can already tell there will be a BIG adjustment period. After 4+ years of having to be here almost 24/7 taking care of her mom, we both just feel lost. Hopefully in time.
Again thank you all;
Doug
