Frogs love rain
Weather is looking pretty good for next Saturday. So who is in. I will be there. I think Dan aka Hollada is riding along with me.
Ribbit
I think we are still in though I'm waiting for confirmation. I will have to run over from the Bassmaster Elite Series and then run back after we're done fishing.

Lets use the EAST launch so everyone can start Mid Lake.
Must be this group because I see Rain is predicted for only that day next week.
Not only does DK have a boat he has a Ranger. The boat brand others wished they owned.
Change in plans. I will not be able to make it.
What are the fishing hours again? How much is the entry fee per person? Are people bringing food - I need to get back to the Bassmaster event for the weigh in. Need to make sure I'm on the same page.
Let me take a shot at it.
This Saturday the 29th
Kent Lake East Launch
Start around 7:00 am
Finish at noon
10.00 each entry fee per person.
5.00 goes to BB4B ( Big Bass For Breanna ) fund
5.00 goes to the big fish pot
Each person in the boat can weigh 1 fish
Heaviest fish wins the pot. If the winner wants to add to the BB4B pot that is allowed.
Retire to a local watering hole for lunch and stories.
As of today, in as a boater.. might have a co- w/me or he's coming in as a boater. Confirm by Wednesday pm.
Who do I want to fish with hmmm...
Or
Who what's to fish with you
It's a 50/50 thing
Does a plastic frog on a buzz bait count?
Okay. I've updated Derek. Now, he's retired so we'll see if he can get up and get over there that early... ;D I'll be coming from LSC.

no
Today they were Surfing Frogs. There were nice mats but they may be gone after the wind. It was howling out there today.

Scum frog used to make a thundertoad
It was a frog with blades in the front. Wouldn't have the weight of a Buzz bait
But it's still a frog

Frogs are considered frogs if they are either hollow bodied or solid body with single or double hooks. Additional rigging DQ'd (buzz baits, hard plastic body), but feel free to drop shot a rage toad ;)
Hmmmm...... Need to pull out my Yamamoto frog shape worm
Getting DQ'd from this event due to improper tackle could be one of the worst offenses in history. Humiliation would probably require name change, relocation to northern Siberia, being shunned by family and friends. I just hope the lake doesn't freeze and it becomes an Ice Fishing Derby.
True to form it may rain a bit so bring your rain gear.
Guess another important question is where are we going after the event for lunch. Any suggestions.
There is an Applebees at Milford road to keep it close for the people heading west.
I'm going to try to make it! May have a back seat open

have another boater adding to list.. Leo B.
Tony I. (Scumfrog1) is bringing donuts
He'll be there at 6:00 AM
Wow, Tony I called and asked me to take him to this tournament... I thought he would have cleared it with me first... Oh well.. I was trying to make it happen. I will be going to StClair for the weigh in and party times. ;D
I've heard he likes Champion Boats better then Bullets. LOL
Speed won't be a factor. It's all about the ride
He knows I can frog fish with the best of them... Since I taught him almost 30 years ago. :-* It's not about the ride, But the "Win" :-* That's why he called me first! :P
He's all ways told me he learned from the best!
Frog or slop guy I'm not, But I'm willing to learn
Well - it looks like all the pairs are screwed up - How many co anglers are needed ? I'm bringing Yukon and I will bring the pontoon too. If everyone is paired up, We got this covered. If just 2 people need a back boaters, maybe we'll split up, so I'll bring options - how's that for some versatile mojo ;D
Capt Charlie is going to fish with me...
Does anyone have a scale..?
i think ill be coming, ill be a boater
Potential pairs ?
t-bone (fishing with Capt. Charlie)
Dartag (fishing with Hollada)
Bob o (fishing with Ypsibass)
djkimmel (fishing with Derek)
manxfishing (fishing with Tony)
Mojo (fishing with Yukon)
bosshawg - pair potentially Team Houston
Leo B. - pair potentially with Dennis B
MSURoss - pair potentially with Jefferson
OSHABASSMAN - no co angler
Bassmandan - no co angler
IF we have exactly 2 boaters without coangler, maybe Yukon and I might split up, but we're pretty happy .... on this lake, in this format, with a pontoon. May be just the perfect tx for it lol !!!!
Pontoon gives the tx versatility ....... 8)

to late to get club scale. Have a digital hand held, only weigh in a fish @ a time
Ok
Worked 10, 4 hour drive home (I'm working out of state on a job)
Spooled up a 2nd rod with braid and hooked up the boat
And found the frogs and toads in the garage
I'm as ready as I can be
Need gas but I'll get that on the way home
Is it to late to jump in as a non boater? I have a few frogs and money to donate.
ok We found the perfect frog lake, and with just 5 minutes left, we got some rain ! The tradition lives ! I liked Kent lake today. You guys put on one heck of an event. Thank you Bob, Rick, Steve and everyone who came out. This should become a 30 boat annual pilgrimage for everyone of GLB, its that much fun !

Next year we do a spinnerbait only tournament so Frank can join.
Always said it would be a great place for a DK Open. Spinnerbait open sounds like fun. Laporte and Me had talked about a Jig / Buzzbait open.
Just have to plan it and see if they come.

You should have showed up - we would have got you out on the water. Sorry I didn't see this. dartag was at the Bassmaster too taking pictures and taking me around in the boat on Thursday. With early mornings and late evening working on video and pix from the event I didn't have time to get on the forum and peruse for any length of time.
I meant to, it was my fault. While painting and doing the honey-do list I was served many adult beverages to keep me working. It was a last minute decision, I'll make the next one out there for sure.
