I came across a guy who sells tungsten worm weights in bulk - really good prices from what i have seen looking around the net. If there were enough guys that would be interested, I'd like to put together a large order (100pcs or more). I'd be willing to process all the individual orders and bulk them together if enough people commit to an order. I'm not making any money off this and bounced it off Dan already to make sure its kosher with him - its just a good opportunity to same some coin.
We can mix and match sizes so it just has to be 100pcs total - plus additional price breaks if we get more. The weights are silver and have inserts i'm told - they are 95% tungsten.

no 3/8ths... i thought that was weird too. I'll plan on making the order on monday to give everyone time to figure out what they want. Once i call it in i will figure the total prices with shipping for everyone. Also if you want your weights shipped to you it should be pretty easy to figure out the shipping from 48838 on the postal service website since you know exactly how much the package will weigh :).
If you want to pick them up, i live in Greenville right off of m57. I'm in Grand Rapids regularly (i work there twice a week). I will also be down in St. Joe/Benton Harbor on April 5th for a salmon tourney.

I'd say at this rate 600 isn't too far off... and as the price gets up there, i'm gonna have to get the money up front to make the order - i trust you guys, but i can't be stuck holding the bag on a couple hundred bucks worth of weights (my wife will gut me like a fish). I'll give it until Sunday to get in on the order and then calculate the prices, find out about shipping and get individual invoices out to everyone...
Think about how you would like to get your weights also - like i mentioned GR, Greenville area for pickup - i can deliver to St. Joe in april or i can ship them -
if you want them shipped to your house, you might want to see if there are others in your area who are getting them also and you can combine shipping.. USPS is pretty reasonable - looks like under 5-6$ to ship most of these orders individually.
If you want to pay via paypal let me know.. if enough guys want to do it i will setup my account to accept payment.. there would be a 3% or 4% surcharge.

I can give you a guy that should be a ble to help a little with this, as long as Kimmell is alright with it. If not just delete the post. His name is Frank Johnson and he ran a company a lot of you know by the name of Red Dragon Tackle. He's gone under the radar lately, but will probably be picking it up again here soon. Now that I've thought about it for more than 10 seconds... I guess we should probably pay him before he goes broke... but we can still get together to pick them up!! Besides... he could use the exercise carrying all that tungsten into the bar!

As far as the ugly donkey thing, I was not commenting on anything personal about anyone - that is up to all of you fine and friendly members... but I was trying to make sure I don't hear from any angry parents!! That is not the animal I think of first for you Eric, anyway... ;D
One possibility for payment, if some people want to pay online quicker and easier, and don't mind paying an extra 3.7% (to cover fees), the dude could send me a list of orders and charges by spreadsheet for those interested.
Then I could do a Paypal money request to each person who says they want to pay online and collect the payments.
Then I will send one lump payment to the dude. Might work faster overall and still cheaper despite the fees thanks to the dude's hard work on putting all these orders together.
Just let me know if this works for a number of people or not. You don't have to have a Paypal account - you can use any major credit card. I won't be making anything and I would just send a check to the dude to keep him from getting hit by a fee on his end. I should be able to get a check to him within two business days after the last payment.
Yeah - i will definitley need the money up front - i need to pay using a cashiers check or money order and right now our bill w/out shipping is $771.78 :o
If anyone wants to pay Dan via the site that is not a problem with me, i already have the orders in a spreadsheet so once i send out the invoices just let me know and i'll pass them on to Dan.
