Title: National Championship
Post by: Dan on December 15, 2006, 09:14:11 AM
Sitting down in Athens, Alabama waiting for tomorrows Division 2 National Championship game pitting Grand Valley State against North Missouri State. A true National Championship with GVSU rated number one and NMS rated number two. North Missouri gave GVSU all they wanted in last years final that GVSU won. Should be a very tight game. One of the best things about coming down for the game is that my brother-in-law showed me a gas station/bait shop that has a wall of Lucky Craft baits about 30 feet long. I have never seen a place carry as many Lucky Crafts. Unbelievable!! It's a little gas station bait shop that has no comparison even with Bass Pro, Cabellas, etc. when it comes to Lucky Crafts. Two years ago I went hog wild and left all my money down here. They did give me a free hat after spending several hundred dollars. They have Lucky Crafts I have never seen before anywhere else and they are not knock offs. Maybe I can take my digital and take a picture if they still have their huge inventory this year.

30 minutes from leaving Athens, AL to head to Florence which is 43 miles away. Forecating 70 degrees! Foggy this morning but the sun is burning through fast. Have my Laker black and blue on and starting to get excited. Hope my google directions don't lead me astray as I try to find Braly Stadium. Went in to Decator yesterday and drove over the Tennessee River. Saw several bass boats out on the river. Seeing lots of bass boats on the road. Must be tough to be able to fish all winter.  Don't forget the game is on ESPN 2 and it starts here in Central time at 11:00 am and MI time it would be 12:00 noon. Should be a good game.

Hey,
Went to the game and it was great. Seventy-five degrees, bright sunshine and it was a defensive battle between to offensive powerhouses. It was a very close game as indicated by the score: 17-14. First time for me at the finals and it was a gas. Have no voice left. Took a bunch of pictures but left my cord to connect to the computer at home so I'll have to post some on the net when I get home. Back to back National Championships!! Four of the last five years!!
