Title: Will greed and threats win out over the future of OUR Great Lakes?
Post by: djkimmel on December 30, 2006, 03:28:47 PM
I should add short-sightedness also to greed and threats - our Great Lakes need help from everyone including companies who make money off of them. We need to be prepared to force reasonable expense on these companies if they won't adopt them in a timely manner on their own to stem the tide of aquatic invaders in our prescious waters. If Michigan holds steady and strong, other states and provinces will follow. Then the companies will no longer be able to threaten going to other ports, but actually have to put out some money to do their part to protect our Great Lakes.
