Are these still big lake open?
Yes
Not sure running Lake Michigan is worth it for a 3 hour tournament... but to each his own.
Marc Dehollander and I will be hitting a few of these for sure.
I don't think it is always worth it either but some guys do it.
Aug 5 is a Wednesday. Please verify this is correct? Thanks!
:)I thought there was no Lake Mi. Just makes it more dangerous on Mona, cause I have to run to Muskegon to be able to compete, and anyone else realizing it just became a Muskegon Lake tournament taking off from Mona.

Biggest bag and biggest bass I ever weighed in at a Muskegon Lake tournament came out of Mona Lake. Big bass was a smallie that went 5.4 lbs. Never caught a fish that big during a tournament on Muskegon. Came close a couple times.
Changed August 5 to August 4. Thanks for the catch.
Can't make everyone happy.
exactly mike if you don't think running for a 3 hour tournament is worth it don't run then but I know nick and I have every mona tournament for a couple years and have won a few of them from Muskegon that's why you buy a 21ft boat and we are defiantly not in fishing to win a bunch of money
I didn't even realize who you were until just now!!
That's fine, whatever. Mona's a great lake, I get it, big bag potential. Just saying, I have a 19 ft. boat, it doesn't run Lake Mi like a 21 footer. Last year 4 boats ran to Musk. they came in, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. With only 3 1/2 hours I would like the winner to have to beat us on the same lake. I'm not complaining, cause i have won running their. Like Nick said, your not in it for the money, but then again. The reality is Mona on our Tues. nites had 1 bag over the years that was #13 and some change. Typically, it's 10-10 1/2 pounds that takes 2nd and 3rd. If you run to Musk. you can win with 12-14 pounds, so if you want to win as much as the next guy, it forces you to run, unless you like fishing for 2nd and 3rd.
Just one more reason I don't think you should be able to run the Lake during a weeknight event. But that's just me.
Being as I don't fish to live, I wouldn't run on a week night anyways. But, moreover to those who do.
what's with all the complaining, if you don't like it don't fish.

Not complaining. Just voicing an opinion. And I'm not fishing it... no time.
I'm not complaining either. Just a statement on an open discussion. I'd fish it regardless of who goes where, and I'd probably stay on the lake we start on. That's just me.
Here is my take....This is not for a classic birth or intended to make allot of money doing it. I run these for THE FUN OF IT, and want guys to be able to fish for fun. If that means you want to fish Muskegon then so be it. If you want to run then run. Just have fun doing it.
