Going to take advantage of the calm winds tomorrow and fish the Saginaw bay. Plan on fishing till 3-330. Heading home out of bay port in the morning. Bring your boat or hop in mine.
Beautiful day on the bay!
Nice.... Any on your new dropshot rod?
Yes sir the 2 biggest on drop shot rod. :)
Looks like a great day to be on The Bay! I had to stay local but enjoyed fishing despite being hotter than I've been all year!! It was a scorcher! Thank goodness some of the bass didn't care.
Never been out in the bay. Is the water clear so you can see bottom. Do you sight fish or just cast.
It just depends on the day. Monday water clarity was about 3 feet until I got out by Charity then it was about 6'. Most of the time out at Charity you can generally see about 10 foot down. Just depends on the weather. I ended up covering 46.7 miles that day checking new spots and looking for the clearer water. When there is limited clarity like that day you can see the rock piles and edges and I will cast at those or any dark spots. I was up at Port Austin on Saturday and you could see bottom in 20-22' which is awesome with all the giant slab rock and boulders.
Me on my cell phone next time you are thinking of going out. I will be up in your area quite a bit this fall !!
Great job and beautiful fish !!!
