Hey guys,
Been in a funk this past winter with various health problems with my parents so my motivation level has been crap. Also started a third shift job in April so theres been some getting used to that since its been 12 years since i worked midnights.Been spending a lot of time of the computer and the couch.
Then i had an idea.....ill go fishing.
Left the house at 5:00 a.m. for the 45 minute drive.Spent the first hour beating the end of Inland steels wall and started working my way back towards the harbor. It wasn't til i got past the turn on the wall that i discovered why i wasnt too successful. The fish are spawning.
Dragging tubes, pitching crankbaits, and everything else i had,i did manage a small male on a 3 in power bait shad.
Only fished til 10:00 a.m. so i could get some sleep before work.
One thing i have to say the population of BIG smallmouth is thriving in Indiana. With the clear water,it was like watching a big smallmouth farm in an aquarium.
I was absolutely floored by the sizes of some of these fish.

Well that's good to hear. Did you see pairs or single fish mostly?
I seen pairs, groups of 5 or 6 ,groups of a dozen,it was just insane.I spent a good part of the morning just running the trolling motor and watching the fish.
Ill be out the next three mondays.........game on.
If I am off on Monday lets hook up.. Go look at 95th street also!! Slimm
I wont launch out of 95th.There is no security and i know a couple guys who got their stuff jacked up there.
Ill be there monday early and out by 10 a.m.Give me a boat description.Ill have the smokercraft towed by a green toyota tundra.
