I'm replacing 2 fish finders with Helix 9's. My questions is if it is worth it to have the one in the bow(transducer mounted on trolling motor) have side imaging? Does anyone use side imaging up front? Some pry do but am wondering when turning if it affects it? Should I just save the money and put a DI up front?
SI at console, DI at bow. Thats the advice I got, and it works great for me.
I have side and down on the bow. If i had the option I would have 360
I have side and DI in both locations. I only use side imaging a little in the front. Mostly DI in front.
360 is awesome. I use it along with DI and see just about everything.
Seems like most people don't use SI up front very much. The various new ways to look ahead or all around seem to be the smoking hot ticket lately. I haven't even had a chance to see it in action, but I sure do hear about it!
