Hi new to site. I have never fished a bfl tournament and was looking to fish the two detroit river tournaments this fall as a Co angler. I was told that it helps to regester with a boater. Does this mean you will be paired with that boater?
You will not be paired up with the boater you link with. Boater/non-boater pairings are blind draw. Pairing up only guarantees that both of you will be able to fish the tournament (it make the field equal...the same number of boaters=same number of non-boaters). Unless of course, you try and sign up after the field has been filled, at which point you will be put on the waiting list.
btw, welcome to the site
Ok so whats the best way to get hooked up with a boater?

Start a new post with a Topic Name of "Co-Angler looking for Boater Link for Detroit River BFLs". Also, go to the Tournament Fishing forum on Lake St. Clair Network http://www.lakestclair.net/forums/index.php?s=51a8f77fe5327ff6898c3ca708696ca6&showforum=9 (http://www.lakestclair.net/forums/index.php?s=51a8f77fe5327ff6898c3ca708696ca6&showforum=9)and the Co-Angler board on the Bass Fishing Home Page http://www.wmi.org/multi_boards/co-angler/ (http://www.wmi.org/multi_boards/co-angler/) and do the same. You should be able to hook up with someone...
Welcome to the board and find your boater before the priority deadline for each tournament.
thanks for the help guys, but any more tips? Haven't been able to locate one yet?
Keep trying. Hang out on the boards a little and get to know some guys. I will try to hook anglers together as I find them too.
not giving up. looking for boater for all the tournaments next year
