Ranger Boats press releaseFLIPPIN, AR — From the rough waters of the bay and offshore to the backcountry canals and flats, the new 2400 Bay Ranger is built to take full advantage of a broad range of angling destinations. Engineered for greater versatility and enhanced maneuverability, the 2400 Bay Ranger is specifically crafted for the rugged challenges of coastal water angling.

Ideal for chasing everything from snook and tarpon to redfish or speckled trout, the 2400 measures 23′ 7″ in length and features the solid stability of an exceedingly roomy 100 ½” beam. Rated for a maximum of 300 horsepower, the boat is capable of navigating the choppiest waters while still delivering a smooth, dry ride. The 2400 Bay Ranger features fluid, Sea Star Pro hydraulic steering that further complements the 2400’s responsive handling. On board electronics include solid-state digital switching at the console. With a greater fuel capacity, serious anglers can venture farther in pursuit of their favorite game.

“The design of the 2400 Bay Ranger gives anglers even more freedom to visit a variety of locations all in the same day,” said Randy Hopper, President of Ranger Boats. “From near shore and offshore to the backcountry, the 2400 is built to handle a wide variety of angling opportunities.”

Inside the 2400 Bay Ranger, the exclusive Zone-Tempered® fiberglass layout delivers even greater strength and added confidence. Combined with Ranger’s patented pultruded fiberglass transom, fiberglass gussets and fiberglass stringer system, the stresses of rough water are minimized and actually guided out of the boat. In addition, the Rite-Track Keel® design is especially developed to help eliminate lateral drift while promoting easier trolling and solid tracking.

“The layout of the skid-resistant deck and interior offers anglers added convenience when out on the water, said Capt. Ray Van Horn, Ranger Pro Angler. “The large, unobstructed casting deck is ideal for fishing and can easily accommodate multiple anglers.”

Gel-coated storage boxes under the front and rear decks allow for convenient storage while rod storage organizers keep gear organized and protected. Aft mounted rod holders are also a standard feature. Also inside, the cockpit is self-bailing and seating is custom fitted with premium marine upholstery. An integrated fold down bench seat provides quick and easy access to the rear deck. The 2400 Bay Ranger also features console rod racks, anchor storage plus easy pump access.

Available with a wide range of precision-matched outboards and a stainless steel prop, the 2400 Bay Ranger delivers an extremely dry ride. The added benefit of corrosion resistant wiring and resettable breakers insure more time on the water and less time doing maintenance. Elsewhere, the aerated livewell with high-speed pickup and in-line filter are well suited for the day’s catch. NMMA certified, the 2400 Bay Ranger delivers the best in big water stability and shallow-water maneuverability.

Each boat is equipped with an aluminum trailer to eliminate saltwater corrosion and features a center swing jack that retracts flush to the frame creating a more balanced boat. The tandem torsion axle trailer features polished aluminum wheels, matching fiberglass fenders and hydraulic surge stainless steel brakes. Combined with Ranger’s exclusive oil bath COOL hub lubrication system, custom swing away tongue and matching spare tire, the RangerTrail trailer delivers lasting peace of mind.
