On March 1, Michigan United Conservation Clubs will host a sportsmen’s rally at the Capitol in Lansing. MUCC will lead hundreds of sportsmen and women in a political action event at the capitol in Lansing to meet with their respective members of the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives to advocate for policies that promote the conservation, enhancement and wise use of Michigan’s natural resources and protection of our outdoors heritage.

The outdoors community is often deemed the “silent majority” — if we want to ensure that our outdoor heritage and freedoms are protected, we can no longer sit idly by. The purpose of Camo at the Capitol is to help connect Michigan’s hunters, anglers and trappers with their legislators and to show Lansing that the outdoors is an important piece of our state’s economic future.

There is no charge to attend but pre-registration is required. The event will feature a rally on the Capitol lawn, a free wild game luncheon and guidance and assistance from MUCC staff with meeting your legislators face-to-face.

Lend your voice to this effort. Let’s show Lansing that the outdoors community is more than a silent majority. Check-in is from 9 AM until 10 AM, with scheduled activities starting at 10 AM. There is optional House Committee on Natural Resources, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation testimony on HB 4111, Room 307, House Office Building. Visit MUCC.org to pre-register.
