Thanks. Just happy to be going for the first time in my life.

I trust Ron Speed Jr and Exotic Outdoor Adventures to keep me from getting snapped up! The plan is for the only snapping to be done by 20+ pounds mean peacock bass!!!!

That's just downright dirty to talk about!!!!!

So while we are up here looking at the frozen gray tundra lifeless and downright depressing your going to be taking a boat ride through one of the most exotic tropical river systems known to man; as tropical birds fly overhead and monkeys swing from limb to limb you cast a magnum size topwater into the beautifully slightly stained waters and just as the sun starts absorbing Vitamin D you get SLAMMED by a 15lb. Peacock - but she misses it as your bait flies feet above the water and while airborn a 20+Peacock goes airborn to engulf your bait and puts on the most majestic display of acrobatics and long runs ripping drag, did I mention the monkeys..................

Not that I'm jealous or anything but you could have lied and said you had to go shovel off St. Clair or something!:D :D  Seriously SEND SOME PICTURES OF GREEN VEGETATION - even one green leaf will help!

It was really cool meeting a lot guys for the first time, and I look forward to meeting more guys in the near future.  GR Show will be a blast as well.

Thanks for joining. Hope you like it!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Funny... I was going to shovel off St. Clair... and then Randy VanDam said let someone else do it this year... come to the AMAZON!!!! I'm shooting for a 25 pounder!!!! I will have lots of pictures and video when I get back... but there's a shortage of Internet connections where I'll be most of the time!! Hopefully... no shortage of GIANT PEACOCK BASS connecting with my lures though!!!! ;D

Yeah. I saw one BIG feller who was also shy around the #1 Angler in the World! His wife made him get his picture taken. Aw shucks... ;D

Shoot! I forgot to get my picture taken with him... I think I took 3 or 4 persons pictures for them with KVD. Did have some fun talking to him about peacock bass fishing (leaving Saturday!!!!!!!!)
I wasn't being shy, just polite.  Was anxiously, but patiently waiting my turn.

djkimmel

I know. You mentioned your buddy was being shy. Most of the time, it took a while to get to KVD.

I enjoy Wayne Carpenter's seminars.  Very informative and above all educational.  I also enjoyed seeing the look on my son's face when he met KVD.  It was cool.  KVD was real great to the kids and talked to all that approached him.  That was on Saturday.

On Sunday, my lovely bride accompanied me to the show.  She didn't realize that it was that cool.  She complimented all the anglers that she met that knew me and you guys left a real good impression on her.  Maybe she will let me fish more.   :o

Frank

it was great meeting a few of you guys finally.  i was at the booth until 5 on Thursday, the slow day.  Stopped in to say hi on Saturday.  My partner, Brandon, won the bobbing for trout competition, second year in a row with 2.5 seconds.  It's a great trip with 2 free nights at the casino in Manistee.  Last year we were on the Trout Scout, which was fun.  I still can't believe that people really like to drive their boat around in circles for 5 hours waiting for a trout or salmon to bite.  We take our boats up with us and hit about 6 lakes for bass while were up there.  You should have seen the look on the hotel staffs face!  every night we load up the luggage cart with batteries and chargers to take to our room, then back out in the morning.
I didn't buy too much at the show because this is my broke time of year, however I did get to research what I will be buying before season starts.  Grandt rods, 3 of them for the new year, Nemesis baits of numerous colors and sizes.
I also came to the realization that I need to start making my own lures also.  No one seems to make the weird stuff that I want to use.  I couldn't find any worms over 10", and I prefer 12".  Sometimes I just glue 2 together, you can do some cool color combos that way.  Now I just need to make my own molds.

djkimmel

Well, thanks for all your help and free furniture loan! Thanks also for supporting site sponsors. As far as weird lures... shouldn't be too hard as a bass angler to find them somewhere, but making them can be fun too!!

Got to meet alot of customers face to face which was really cool.  most were surprised that i was so young.  go figure.  i didnt tell them that i was actually 31 and just had the face of an 18 year old.

Hanging out with the gang for 4 whole days was awesome, too.

And the WFN chick was pretty and nice to talk to!

Watching Mike bob for trout has to be my top moment tho.  Bravo again!

What! Nothing about Wags coming to the GLB booth and sharing some inspiration?

LOL!
Original song and lyrics by "MadWags"

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

Of course, how could i forget.  Your "inspiration" is the only thing that saved me that day.  i need to invest in one of those silver containing units asap!

You didn't find big worms, because Case Plastics was not at the show, you should check out their Big Mamas, a healthy 11 incher.  They are a sponser here at GLB:
