The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Division has announced public forums again will be held throughout the state this year (2017), inviting the public to discuss local and statewide fisheries management activities and concerns.

"Conversations & Coffee with DNR Fisheries Division" will take place in each of the eight management units that oversee Michigan's fisheries, giving people the opportunity to meet with managers and biologists, discuss local issues and management activities and get specific questions answered. These meetings are extremely informal; at many, no formal presentations will be made.

These forums also will make information available on local and statewide regulation changes affecting anglers. Refreshments will be provided.

This meeting is in the Eastern Lake Superior Management Unit, Thursday, April 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (EST) at Tahquamenon Area Public Library located at 700 Newberry Avenue in Newberry.

Topics: local project updates.

This is your opportunity to speak one-on-one with MDNR Fisheries Division staff and tell them what you would like to see for fishing in Michigan!

For more information, contact the local management unit, or visit the MDNR fishing website michigan.gov/fishing.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
