New to GreatLakesBass.com is an Aquatic Invasive Species resource page in the Conservation News section of the website.

One of the latest and most troubling invaders in Michigan waters is Starry Stonewort. This is a sample showing the white, star-shaped bulbils you can see if you pull it out including its roots.

It includes pictures, identification and information videos and links to help identifying most invasive aquatic plants and what you can do to help with it. Please check it out and keep it handy if and when you want to be a part of the solution!

GreatLakesBass.com has partnered with Protect Your Waters.net and their Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers campaign to help slow and stop the spread of invasive species!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
