Talked to my buddy Don today and he's up in Traverse City for this weekends "Fishing With the Pros (http://www.lifelineyouth.org/events.aspx?pid=101 . He said that there were a bunch of pros this year. Ike, KVD, Shaw, and I can't remember the others he mentioned. They are staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. It costs $1250 to fish and that includes three nights at the lodge with meals and two days of fishing. I put the hammer lock on him to be sure he took some pictures, but he's famous for not taking any.

There's an article on Dan's site about one of the pros that normally participates, Mickey Thomas. Might be worth checking out.

Yep. they are up   here. I was talking with a few of the guys from Indiana at the boat launch on my lake  <Birch Lake> eariler in the week. They said Ike is probably not here due to a problem that he had at this event a few years ago.  Not sure who else is there this year.  I was up at Great Wolf Lodge talking to a buddie that works there and got tonsssssssss of complements on my old '86 Champ from some of the guys.  Gave some of the guys here at my lake some great tips on area lakes. Hopefully they will be able to put them to good use thiss weekend. They were talking about a few guys that were driving all the way to Mullett lake<130 miles from TC>  which  is a dang long drive with a client concidering there are 4 lakes in the immideate area that have been on fire all summer and fall for me and my guide trips I took people out on. It's a great weekend for a darn good cause.

Stop the VHS virus - Don't move fish from one unconnected body of water to another. Clean your bilge and livewells with bleach/water before launching inland.

Ike in deed was there and caught a 6-3 lb. smallie on Charlevoix. KVD stopped in but didn't fish. Remitz the Elite Series Rookie of the Year was there, Scott Lakey, Chip Harrison, Kim Stricker, Grigsby, and a host of others.
