Dad and I will be making our annual trip north to fish smallies the last weekend in September. We have had great luck fishing Mullet lake but have never fished Burt Lake. Can you give us some direction on where and how to fish Burt Lake? We would really like to give this lake a shot, but need some insight. Thanks!

Fish all the rock edges along the whole East shore for starters. If they're in it will be fun. If they've pull the Burt Lake vanishing act it may be slow and frustrating. They can come in shallow at any time and then they will bite good. Usually. Sometimes in the spring and fall they're in the few reed beds on the lake too but so are the pike, muskie and rock bass at times in certain parts of the lake so hang on. So are a few largemouth bass that live in the lake.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Thanks for the info! Will let you know how we do.
