Anyone have some good ideas or game plans regarding C&R Opener this year? I will probably be hitting Sanford Lake up near me. Not sure as of yet, but what are some tactics you will probably be taking this year since the water will be a bit chillier than usual? I'm thinking slow jerkbaits, slow Carolina's on weed lines at the staging points, and blade baits. Can some of you vets out there give me some good ideas and options, and possibly what your game plans will possibly be? Thanks!

Those all sound like solid options. The fish know the seasonal pattern is changing so don't be afraid to throw lipless cranks and other reaction baits as well. I would think working them slower would be good. Those fish on Sanford will start relating to the creeks/cuts. Any staging areas at, or around possible winter time hideouts will be holding some fish

Oops.. Sorry, I posted this in the wrong forum.. Not sure how I can move it

Lol! I thought the same thing. Dan will move it when he sees it

The best reward in bass fishing is figuring out the fish yourself. Play around with productive techniques under the given water temps until you dial into there locations. With this approach many times your day will be a success especially that time of year.
