I have recieved a few entry forms, but still looking for more anglers.  Please contact me if you are interested in fishing and I can send a form over to you.  Also, I am happy to announce that Fishidy.com has gotten on board to sponsor this event and help with the prize money.

We are just a little over one month away from this tournament taking place.  Anyone planning on fishing this event?

TimH

Well, this event "took place" this past Saturday.  Early last week, the two boats I had pre-registered called to inform me they could not attend the event, but I was still hopeful that I would get at least a few people show up the morning of.  I headed out to Kent Lake, and after no one showed up after the first half hour, I made a sign stating that the tournament was canceled and placed it by the driveway to the launch.  I waited in my truck until a little after seven when the registration closed, took my sign down, and drove home.  I was hoping for a good event to raise some decent money for Camp Liberty, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
Looking back now, I realize that September might not be a good time to hold a tournament like this.  Even though this tournament proved to be unsuccessful, I am going to try again to have another tournament fundraiser for Camp Liberty.  I'm thinking early next season on St. Clair.
Because I want my next attempt to be successful, please give me feedback on what you think might help draw people to want to fish a fundraising tournament.  Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
