any one have any tips or ideas on how do dropshot in heavy visable shallow  cover, and what equipment to use? should u keep a finesse bait on or should u go up in size

What kind of cover are you talking?

Drop shot can be thrown anywhere really. Just have to use heavier abrasion resistant line. Pitch it or flip it in the nasty stuff with a heavier weight to bust thru the mats. Bait can be whatever just adjust the hook accordingly.

Just like gbaade said.  If you are in deep water fish it as vertical as you can that will really help keep it off snags.

I'm no expert, but my guess is that you'd need to just rig the worm differently.  Usually I nose-hook it, but rigging the worm weedless would be about the only change you should have to make to work it thru the heavy stuff.  And fish a little tougher line.  I saw Gerry Gostenik talking about drop-shotting once and he had his fluke Texas hooked and talked about how you can drag it through just about anything.  I'd think you'd have an easier time too if you use the pencil style drop shot weight instead of trying to drag a ball or bell weight thru the cover.  That's just my guess on the subject.  Hope it helps.
