Fishing has been rough the last 3-4 weeks on the lower Menominee.  With the extreme temperature changes it has made fishing very difficult.

Today was the exception.  Early evening for a short period the fish were hammering the spinnerbaits and top water.

The most consistant areas for small mouth right now are shallower water with current.  A few fish are being caught deep, but very few.

Spinner baits in greens, yellows and whites seem to do the trick.  But, they also lead to the occasional pike and if you are lucky maybe a walleye.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
