Title: Here fishy, fishy!
Post by: Crookedneck on March 23, 2011, 08:20:42 PM
This is rod I am building for a buddy.  He wanted the Alps casting seat and a fish wrap.  So I did it, with a little bit of marbling on the split grip portion of the rod.

MHX MB843 blank.

+1!  How long does it take you to do something like that?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Cheetam, If I had all the parts and worked on that alone It would probably take a week or so.  The wrap itself took about 6 hours.  There is alot of epoxy work on this rod between the wrap and the marbling.

Bassgeek, the reel seat is pretty nice.  It is substantually heavier than a graphite.  But it is tougher than nails and gives it a rod a truely custom look.  I can say it isn't the warmest reel seat in the cooler weather.   ;D
