Title: The Alpha Craw
Post by: joshimoto son on December 14, 2010, 11:23:00 PM
Here it is!
The Alpha Craw.

Named by a great friend of mine, who happened to catch the biggest large mouth I've ever seen in Michigan on it. Come to think it, he's won more money on it than I have too.

I designed this bait because a friend of mine that lives on the Potomac River was having some issues getting hung up in the ultra thick stuff.
He loves a 4/0 straight shanked worm hook, but can't keep the bait rigged right without the hook constantly "popping" through and getting hung up.

I made this bait so that you can skin hook a straight shanked hook (repeatedly) without getting hung up in the slop or contorting the bait so that it doesn't look like a curly fry.

One of the pictures I posted (I hope it does) shows the profile of a 4/0 hook. It gives good refrence to how the bait works. It was simple, I drew the hook... and then I drew the bait around it. Who does that?

Okay... I got one of them to show up. I'm sure it's operator error.

Here's an actual pic of the mold and bait.
