I  shot a doe with my bow, but have not had a shot with the rifle at a deer with head gear. Some of the guys I hunted with did quite well.
My buddy, Rick The Cementman son Ricky, shot two bucks. One was a monster 12 pt, and the other was a dandy 8 pt.
My buddy Dandy Don Fowler has an opening day streak going. H shot his eighth or ninth 8 pt. or better on opening day again.  
Manistee's Steve Block shot a beautiful 10 pt. with his bow.
My buddy Nick was hunting in Texas near Johnson City opening day and saw a bunch of nice bucks. He shot, what he called, a small eight point.
I couldn't add the fifth picture of the Texas 8, so I'll wait till my ole fishing partner Ron sends me the pictures of the two eights and a ten point he, his wife, and son shot in Missouri.
