Title: Eagle Fish Elite 320 gps/fish finder
Post by: ScottK on August 30, 2010, 12:37:48 AM
The memory card that came with this this thing is only 16mb. If I bought a 2 Gigabyte chip for it will that work or will it be to much for the GPS to read? I tried to use a hot spots mapping that I bought for $90.00 and the darn thing wont work. I need help guys.

I'm not sure 100% but in the past they couldn't read cards that big. I think 64 MB was the biggest for a while. Looks like it might max out at 128 MB now. It is a matter of being able to address a certain amount of memory I believe. That might be only for MMC cards. Possibly not the same for SD cards but I do not know that.

Usually, the web site for Hot Spots and the other map chips have a compatibility page somewhere on their site that should tell you which units they will and won't work with. Sometimes you just need an upgrade from the manufacturer for your gps unit.
