Title: Wixom Lake
Post by: Eric on May 28, 2010, 11:11:36 AM
I am going up there Sunday to take a local high school kid and his friend fishing.  His mom has been begging me for 2 years, and I can fianlly do it.  I mapquested it, so I now know how to get there, but have no clue how or where to get these guys some fish.  Anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

Well, to start. If your launching from the DNR site you can motor a few hundred yards south to fish the weedbed to the east. Down by the bridge on the south shore can be good.

On the titabawassee side I like the first big creek arm on the west side up from the dam. Spawning cuts up in there. Docks. Walls. Weeds. A big point with stumps trailing into 20+. Everything a bass needs. Be careful out there. You can hit stuff. Especially that shallow bar just past the bridge on the titabawassee side near the dam. Ouch
