Title: THANKS to the GreatLakesBass.com Helpers at Outdoorama 2010
Post by: djkimmel on February 28, 2010, 10:39:50 PM
I wanted to say a BIG public thanks to all of the great people who helped out big time at the 2010 Outdoorama show at my GreatLakesBass.com booth!!!

Running a booth at this type of show would not be possible without the generous and selfless help of so many of you!

I am so lucky to have such nice and wonderful people willing to donate their time and personalities to this event. You all said some great things about the sites. I would not have been successful without your enthusiasm and sincerity.

47 new members signed up at Outdoorama. Most for GreatLakesBass.com. Some for greatlakeswalleye.com and some for greatlakesworld.com. I wasn't sure what to expect at the show, but I'm very happy with that number. Almost half as many as the 120 at the pure fishing Ultimate Fishing Show. BTW, we picked up a fair number of female and youth members. Something I really like to see!

Now, if only the other dozen or more had email addresses, we'd have bumped it up higher.

Also a great job in answering all kinds of questions about all kinds of fishing and outdoors topics, handing out sponsor business information, and product samples and information.

Thanks again to everyone who helped out at the booth:
cameraguy

mikesmiph
River Rat
UAWBigDog
Team Houston
stackenem (and his lovely helper, soon to be new member sisinmich)
Got Fish?? and She Is a Keep Her
Manxfishing
MadWags

McCarter was busy at his own booth, but he helped break down - thanks Brian. Mikesmiph was the champion helper at break down. I got out in blazing record time.

cameraguy also pulled a big favor Sunday by coming back in on his day 'off' and loaning one of his cameras to Mark Romanack for some commercial taping for Showspan and Fishing 411.

Thanks to Wayne Carpenter and cameraguy for 'cooking' up the impromptu contest also. Congratulations to Manxfishing for winning the GreatLakesBass.com t-shirt!
