Has anybody heard yet what will happen if you make it to the final day of an everstart and are entered in a bfl the same water the same saturday?
You as a ngler will have to make that choice. I can't beleive that they will let you complete in both events.
My plans are to fish the EverStart (Stren), and pay the entry fee to the BFL Super T, and pray that I make the top ten cut in the Everstart, if not fish the BFL S.T. More money in the top 10 on the Stren than the BFL.
I've heard discussion, not much more than rumors about what they might do, but in the in the past when I have asked, they always say they are two different levels, and once you've moved up, they don't expect you to be worried anymore about the BFL level.
That was then. I did not ask anyone about the events this year. Just heard a few comments that they have worked out how the two events will work around each other logistically.
Do you think they will give a refund or at least a credit if it happens?
I am entered i both right now, and also - hope I make the top 10 in the Stren series - much better money there. Just kinda sucks though after an entire season on the bfl trail to not qualify for the regional cause of a conflict like that.
Not ideal, but I think they are trying to get around a change they had to make late in the game.
I do not know if they will issue refunds. Haven't heard anything on that. I would suspect no, but this is a somewhat new situation so I won't pretend to put words in their mouth. I'll ask if I get a chance to.
Crap, I forgot all about the regional implications. That really makes catching a fish at every event ( Grand River) important.
has anyone called and asked... i am fishing the Stren and didn't even think if BFL because of the conflict..
I saw the topic discussed somewhere else a while ago - just can't quite remember the claims. I'm sure I'll be talking to them in the next few weeks. I'll ask if someone hasn't already updated us by then.
