Title: first time record
Post by: karol on April 21, 2019, 07:40:52 PM
this is the earliest i've been able to go but went to dewart again and was surprised at the full parking lot! turns out the MBA? was having a tourney yesterday, couple guys had some 3+ 4 lbers but the wind was blowing hard and hard to control the boat,i have a 55 lb maxxun on the front but then the rain came, tried a chatterbait and some jigs and ned rig and dropshot. Water was 48.9 - 50.00 degrees, only was out for 1 and 1/2 hours, got cold and wet so nothing this time but the 1986 45 hp Mariner is still running good on the 4th year of the same plugs!!
my daughter in law want to go wednesday or thursday so hopefully the gills will be hungry for her and the bass for me.

Well, better luck with your fishing this year. Not easy in a state with only a few hundred lakes but just as many bass anglers as we have, but there's some good fish in Indiana. I always did much better when I wasn't fishing for anything related to a tournament.
