So what's happening. New products. New announcements from Tournament Trails. Details I need Details. Even Facebook has been quiet.
I watched zona catch a couple of trout on a drop shot and answer audience questions. He also said one of his tricks to catching pressured smallies on a drop shot is to upsize the weight to 3/4 or an ounce with a z too. Faster rate of fall -something they haven’t seen. Might be worth a try.
Mike’s rx has megabass jerks at 25% off so I saved enough to cover my entry.
They also have beer and mixed drinks for sale this year. I don’t remember that in years past....
Where’s your Florida bass fishing vids?
Caught 5 today. Biggest was 3 pounds. Not biting enough to get any good videos. Did have a little Gator swim by. Poor little guy looked frozen.
Any CFB announcements.
Zona likes a-rigs for smallie search baits, and the colder the water, the closer your d/s bait should be to your weight. It was nice to see Dan and BigDog @the booth...
Happy to see those of you who found me and stopped by (I did post a graphic with my booth outlined in red though...??)!
Mike's RX Baits retiring sale was the obvious hit!! Funny! I had a fishing friend come by to say hi and then ask 'where the heck the Mike's RX booth is?!?' I said try turning around... it was right across the aisle from me! ;D
I never got a chance to say more than hi to Terry Melvin so I don't know if he had anything new. I did have some people come by looking for him which was easy because I could look straight ahead and see his sign.
The only obviously new circuit I noticed during the show was the new College Bass Tour being run by Randy VanDam and Jim Sprague. You'll have to go back to college to fish it though...
There were a bunch of custom/local rod makers there this year - several new including a couple I hadn't heard of before. I think there was some new small fishing lure producers too but I did not get the time to go check them out. I did stop by 2K Jigs to find out Dan is discontinuing my KILLER Deposit Spin spinnerbait... Noooooooooooooooo... I took all of the bream color ones that he had left. Now, I have to keep the pike and dogfish away from them!! I guess the tunable Titanium wire is getting harder and harder to obtain so he is going to stainless steel I believe.
He had some new things - you should probably take a tour of his www.2kjigs.com (https://www.2kjigs.com/collections) website to see what you like.
