Title: Union Lake Fish Planting
Post by: dartag on June 29, 2017, 06:05:54 AM
Drove by the launch yesterday and there was a big DNR truck parked there.   Stopped and talked to the gentlemen and he said he put 65,000 Walleye Fry in the lake.  Looking at the DNR site they have put about 352,000 in since 2011.   Must explain why I have been catching quite a few while bass fishing.   Might have to keep a couple and eat them this fall.

Might as well... if they're going to put them in there. Better eating than those dogfish, I'll bet!

Fished Cass 4 hour tournament today in the high winds.  Didn't catch a keeper.  Caught lots of short fish.  Would have loved to catch a Doggie just for the fight.   Some days you just don't catch um.
