Fished yesterday and right at the end I was in some nasty weeds and pads. Running the trolling motor out I heard a snap under the control head of my Minn Kota. I noticed the steering was not right. Pulled the top off this morning and one of the gears and the mounts that hold the steering cables had broken.
Luckily I had purchased 2 Minn Kota's off UAW that he advertised on this site. The parts fit my motor. I was able to use the parts off one of the motors to fix mine. Had it back on the water by 11:00 this morning. Good thing since we fish in Brighton tomorrow morning.
Thanks Bill
