Can you start requesting tournamnet permits in November this year? I remember hearing something about this last year?

Yes.
I'll be sending out a note to all of the email contacts I have and to
many of the larger tournament clubs to get this message out.
That is the only change in the procedures from last year. At this
point, all the sites which required a permit last year, still do and
there were no new locations added.
Thanks for the update. I'm woefully behind in my conservation director duties - been working too many hours for a while now. I was under the impression November was improved for this year and mentioned last year, but it always pays to double-check.
I was told earlier this year that there would be changes in the lakes. Much easier for everyone to not have changes. I'll add to my todo list to post an update in a formatted manner.
Sure would be nice to be able to go to one spont on the net, and find out who is having a tx and where on any given day.
THat way, if I'm not fishing tx's I can avoid them if I choose.
Would also be cool to be able to see whoose pumping weed killer chemicals into which lakes and when.
Does anybody know of such a site/link?

As far as tournaments, Roy Randolph's list is the most comprehensive. I always check it when planning an outing so I don't run into a backup at the ramp.
Pesticide licensing is governed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture. Once a person/firm is licensed they are considered compitent to write their own plan for appication which has to be posted. Therefore the only way to find out when an application is going to take place is through the lake associations or the individual companies. Or, of course showing up at the ramp and finding 5000gal. of corrosive aquacide being loaded on spray boats!
