Probably better to wait to the spring when we are all thinking of getting out.
Couple things to do now:
Stop by the Novi Fishing show and meet people at the booth.
Also there is a spring paper tournament this group does on St. Clair and that is a great way to meet the guys on the forum. We match boaters to non-boaters up to fish. You'll see signups start in a few months.

We all read these.  Have you signed up for the MadWags open yet? It's a great place to meet some of the guys on this board, many of whom are tournament anglers.

What?  People read these forums?  I've been known to read one now and then but I thought I was the only one!   ;D ;D

As they said... come fish the MadWags in May.  Fun time.  We have a picnic afterwards and there's often an opportunity to go back out for some more fishing in the afternoon.

You might consider joining a bass club and fishing the TBF State Championship on Cadilac/Mitchell in July as a co-angler.  I know there is a post on this site somewhere about it.
