Read this and had to post.
Took the family on a tour of the small Eppinger Manufacturing plant on Schaefer in Dearborn, Michigan. After almost twenty years of working near the place, I finally went in. The Dardevle is one of the few original American products still being created here, and unfortunately hundreds of knock offs try and copy them (poorly). Not a commercial for them, though I'll stick with Eppinger exclusively now
It was interesting as they showed us start to finish how they make them and all the variations (most you never see in stores). They also have a nice historical area that was really cool. Anyway, just sharing for those that have the interest. My wife had a great time and it was good for my son to see.
