You will get more details in the private volunteers area of the forum - USS GR Helpers Info (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/forum/index.php?board=98.0). You will be able to see it once I add you to the temporary show group. I will state a few things now. I need people who can talk to others in an outgoing, friendly fashion about joining the websites - mostly GreatLakesBass.com (http://www.greatlakesbass.com), GreatLakesIceFishing.com (http://www.greatlakesicefishing.com) and AnglerHosting.com (http://www.anglerhosting.com), handing out stuff and just answering general questions about fishing. NO ALCOHOL in the booth. No sales of items not pre-approved by me before the show.
This is only a 10x10 booth so there's not a lot of room for extra friends and family to come and hang out in the booth. Please NO extra people behind the table who are not on the volunteer list. Busy show so I am shooting for 3 to 4 people at the booth at all times. The schedule can be adjusted some to accommodate people willing to help who can't fit one of the existing time slots. THANK YOU for your HELP!
UPDATED 03/19/13 (2:05PM): Booth 1927 - Volunteers who work at least 2 hours will get a free exhibitor pass to the show that is good for the whole show as long as you help at least two hours. I cannot give out passes to persons who don't help at the booth. I will be at the show all 4 days.

We could use 1 or 2 for 30-45 minutes after the show ends Sunday for tearing down and packing the booth into my little car so if 1 or 2 of you can help, that would be awesome! All volunteers will be added to the special GLBass Friends group if not already in there. And you will have my eternal thanks and appreciation!
Someone at Outdoorama shared their cold with me so I'm running slow this week but here we go. Please pick the times that work for you and thank you for helping out!
I can work Saturday from 10-12 and Sunday from 10 to 1.
Bill (bsimpson)
Put me down for some time on Friday afternoon and again on Sunday. Like 1:00- whenever. either or both days.
Mike
Count me in for saturday
Thanks guys
I'll take the Fri.11-2.
I'll be heading up with Dan on Thursday unless I get sick again or work pops up. I'm planning on being there all of Thursday evening.

You have to stay healthy and not take any work now that you've made it official by posting it!!

Great! I will add you to the schedule. Thanks.
Hi there Dan, I could be available to volunteer my time again this year, I had a great time last year doing this, sometime from 3 pm in the afternoon till, sometime, that would be great, I will be available for a few hrs, thank you, hope to see ya soon.
Dan,
I will be availible from 2pm to 5pm on Friday. I might be able to put some extra time in. I have to be down there anyways most of the time so a change up will be nice for a while.
Thanks Brandon
Big daddy, i should be heading west to the show and can help. Maybe a sat. 3-6 or 4-7 slot, and in the morning Saturday. Lemme know. !
Hey... it looks like I can hang out and help with the tear down.
What day Ricky?
Hey Dan/Mike... had a couple things change here at work on Friday. I won't be able to make it downtown till around 4:00 now. Could you change my schedule a bit?
Thanks.
I'm not going to be available this year, unfortunately, because of Cabela's grand opening, which coincides with the Sport Show this year. They have me scheduled pretty heavy. I don't even know if I'll be able to go to the show. First time in I don't know how long that I'll miss it.
I am available Friday night after 5:30 till close if you are still in need of volunteers to help. Please contact me.
I can help anytime Thursday and or Friday.
Still a little light on Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening if anyone else can help out. Thank you very much to all who have committed time so far. It should be a great show, with lots of people.
I can work all day Sat if needed

I have you down for 6pm to 9:30pm on Friday night in the updated post going up shortly. You will also see the private board in 30 minutes or so with additional information for volunteers. Please check for the PM I sent you. Thanks,
Dan
Public volunteer list has been updated. Please let me know if I have you down wrong by posting a follow up on this thread.
We have some openings on Saturday and Sunday we could still use some help with. I have volunteered to do 3 seminars and other people will need breaks. I expect we will be real busy on Saturday in particular. Thanks!

Well, that is what Mike had and then I changed it because I am a literal nerd. I see Mike's intuition was better. I will change it back.
dan i can sit in saturday afternoon i'm pretty sure.

Thanks, I need the help. Do you prefer 1-4pm or 4-7pm?
The Big Cheese, Dan Kimmel, and LGMOUTH, Don Watts hanging out at Dan's booth. The GreatLakesBass.com booth is located near the Hawg Trough where Dan has a seminar or two. Stop by and say hi and see if Dan falls into the fish tank during one of his seminars.
I'm 0-1 so far on the swimming with the fish tank. I have another shot at it at 2pm Friday though... you never know?!? ;D
I did have a bunch of bites on my super secret bait rigs though!! Yes!
LGMOUTH looks pretty excited!!!
You also had a LOT of bites you never even knew you were getting. Amazing how many fish picked up your various "secret" baits and you never knew a thing. You KNOW this happens in the wild more than we like to admit.
I'd do that same seminar again Dan! You got more bites than a pro I know of....
Dan please don't kill the mojo, and don't laugh, but my son has baseball practice Saturday night and I'm assistant coach ! Gotta be there. So I'm leaving out at 8 pm and crashing somewhere in grand rapids. I can help all Sunday with you and Wayne.
So put me in sunday from 10 am - close

Excited?! I know you're being facetious but I think he was in some sort of hypnotic trance from the sheer volume of information being jettisoned from the memory cells via the cake-hole of the new found best friend of certain government entities, double agent conservation director, and poobah of GreatLakesBass.com, Big Dan Kimmel.
Naw... he always looks that way when he isn't in the deer woods or on his boat... it's not just me.
I think I had about 60-70 bites in my 3 times up on the Hawg Trough! That really felt good! Especially the bass that didn't want to let go despite no hooks!!
I had a lot of fun at the Super Bass Clinic too. I cracked Wayne's composure a few times! We had a respectable group of people with some really good interaction for our panel of myself, Wayne Carpenter, Frank Keller and Mike McGrane.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered and even some of you who helped additional times to cover for our loss of Mikesmiph to a new job (in Atlanta for now) and another member to illness.
I think we signed up a nice selection of new members including lots of beginners looking for information and/or just getting into bass fishing. I enjoyed talking to those of you who stopped by to say hello.
We did a great job getting information out, answering questions and providing resources. I already heard from Marcel Veenstra that he booked a guide trip from one of the visitors who talked to us about guide recommendations.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
