Never fished it in the middle of the summer. My first time fishing it was actually 6 weeks ago and we got them all off beds on the south end of east bay. Where should I be looking this time of year?
Thanks.
P.S. Might have a seat for some one if they would like to join Juli and I for some time on Saturday (weather permitting of course).

Maybe the South end of the giant sand flat between Elk Rapids and Traverse City. I have found schools of bass along the edge of the steep drop and down that drop a ways by looking for any different cover and big schools of bait. Been quite a while since I fished there.
You can do the same thing up closer to Elk Rapids and North where it gets rockier.
Those GTB bass can move up real shallow and go real deep in a short amount of time just about any time of the year. I have caught them up on the flats around weeds including some big ones. I have caught them way up on shallow rock ridges. Then way out deep under big school of minnows. The few times I've fished there has been a little strange considering the variability of their locations day-to-day and the absolute zillions of pieces of cover out there that look good, especially between Elk Rapids and Charlevoix, or around Mission Point.
Deep and slowwwwwwwww. Old Mission, Yuba, Acme. Water is hot hot hot
Check the date fellas.... I was up there last weekend. Saturday was just WAY to windy to be fishing the bay so I hit Duck lake instead. Had some luck there so it wasn't a lost day.
Hey..! We're just want to help so bad!!
