Post by: TheFishinPollock on July 24, 2006, 11:23:42 AM
Hi. I am looking for anyone on this board that might belong to the Cherry Capital Anglers club.

I've been hearing they may be in disarray with a bunch of members having split off into another new club. I don't have the full story yet. I hope it's not true. They were a large and productive club in the past.

If I hear any specifics about the club any time soon, I will pass them along.

Well a few years back the henchel boys left. But if there was another split it happened after last september's big brother big sister open on lake leelanau

Well - I should know better than to mention vague rumors. Someone did say they were still putting on their Lake Leelanau event this year. If true, rumors of their demise are greatly exaggerated.

CWINSIII might know since he lives right up there now close by.

All the talk now is just rumors.

I've been talking to a friend of mine on starting a TBF club for next year.

The Leelanau open is on, I just talked to the Cherry Capitol president last night at the NBAA on Green Lake about it. I will get a phone number and P.M. you with it.

Thanks
Clare

How did you do on Green? Going to be up at Interlochen M-W next week. Plan to fish Duck and Green.

I've been taking it easy on the fishing for a while so I was just to see the weight-in, it took 16 1/2 lbs to win. I like Green a lot more than Duck, I think Green has a lot more bigger fish that Duck.

Green definitely has the bigger fish, but I think over the years Duck has the numbers. It gets fished hard and it hasn't been showing me as much as it use to. When are you going to start fishing the Tear Drop?
