My Father goes to U of M medical center for Surgery on Tuesday for an operation to remove a brain tumor...He has multiple tumors but they are going to start with the one that is causing the most symptoms and work from there...He had a tumor removed over 30 years ago and has survived this long so I am trying to remain optimistic...He is pretty tight with info, probably because he doesn't want to worry me, so I am struggling getting specifics..
I am very close to my Dad...We spent alot of time fishing, hunting and racing motorcycles together...It could be a tough year..
Another concern to pray for is care...His wife is pretty much incompetent and has her own personal issues so I am not real comfortable with her taking care of him....He retired up to Cadillac so distance is going to be an issue....Lesson learned..Think long and hard before you move away from your support network in retirement..
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers...His name is Gary...

Thanks for the thoughts....My dad has been pretty vague with us on specifics..I may not know much until after Tuesday....
Moto I got a lot of information when you find out exactly what your Dad has. I will send you my cell number in a PM if you ever have any questions. Depending on how old your Dad is will be huge. I pray that he comes out well.

Thanks alot Dog....
Well...My dad was scheduled for Surgery at 7am yesterday...They got him all suited up and basically on the table ready to go and the Surgeon got pulled to work on an Emergency Brain Aneurism..They rescheduled my Dad's Surgery for June 30th...
My dad drove all the way down from Cadillac to have the Surgery done and spent the night in Ann Arbor..The Delay was mentally taxing for him..
Things happen and it was no ones fault..The hospital even reimbursed him for the Hotel and travel expenses...
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and thanks for the support...
I am sitting here in Neuro ICU waiting for my Dad to be brought up from Surgery...Sounds like everything went well..The surgeon was able to remove all of the tumor that he can see visually...He said there could still be some tumor at the cellulor level but we won't know until the labs and tests are in...
So far so good...
Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers...
Very good news Brian. Will keep prayin
