Is it legal to cull a dead fish during a BFL tournament held in Michigan? 

I culled a fish at Burt that was barely alive and it did swim off.  But if it had died in my livewell, can I legally cull it?

I don't have handy a Michigan fishing guide to check if there is a State law against this.  I do not recall reading anything on this in the BFL brochure.

I don't know for sure how the BFL feels about this at the moment, but it is legal to cull a dead fish in Michigan. I confirmed this with 2 conservation officers. The sportsmanship issue always comes up. It seems like a bad thing to do, but realistically, the dead fish will probably be eaten by turtles and/or craysfish and other creatures.

I'm going to reread all the BFL rules between now and the St. Clair event, so I'll be fresher on them and see if anything seems to apply.
