Boating Resource Center Help and Information

With the rollout of our new Boating Resource Center (BRC) - brought to you in partnership with BoatTEST.com, this page is offered to help answer questions and solve some of the common situations that might arise in your use of the GreatLakesBass.com BRC.  Here are answers and solutions to questions or issues that arise when you use the BRC.

» I joined BoatTEST.com from the BRC but can't sign on/having trouble signing on to the BRC?

» I joined BoatTEST.com from the BRC but couldn't log in so I tried to join again and it says I'm already a member?

Third party cookies and session cookies must be enabled in your Internet browser for your BoatTEST.com membership to work.

In Internet Explorer 6, go to menu Tools | Internet Options... Then click on the Privacy tab. Click the Advanced... button. Check the 'Override automatic cookie handling' checkbox.  Mark the 'First-party Cookies' Accept radio button. Mark the 'Third-party Cookies' Accept radio button. Check the 'Always allow session cookies' checkbox (see the example 1 below). Click the OK button. Click the OK button. Then reopen the Boating Resource Center and you should be able to log on now. Contact Us if you still have a problem.

Ex 1: Internet Explorer 6 - Advanced Privacy Settings

In Mozilla Firefox, go to menu Tools | Options...Then click on the Privacy Icon at the top. Click on the Cookies tab. Make sure the 'Allow sites to set Cookies' checkbox is checked. Make sure 'for the originating site only' is not checked. Click the OK button. Then reopen the Boating Resource Center and you should be able to log on now.

» I'm signed on in the BRC but boat test videos won't play?

Video is streamed through ports that can be blocked on firewalls. If you can not watch video, especially if you are at a business, the ports may be blocked and you will not be able to override this. Try to watch the videos from another location such as home. If you are at home and have a firewall, review your documentation on how to enable video.

» Is my GreatLakesBass.com forum membership the same as BRC membership?

Your GreatLakesBass.com forum membership is different and separate from the BRC membership, which is stored and maintained by BoatTEST.com, not GreatLakesBass.com. Most of the services on the BRC require the easy and free membership through BoatTEST.com.

» How will my BRC membership be used?

Your BRC membership is stored and maintained by BoatTEST.com. Please visit BoatTEST.com and review their privacy policy for details. If you choose to use any of the services through the BRC that are provided by BoatTEST.com partners, it is recommended that you review their respective privacy policies. Read the GreatLakesBass.com privacy policy.
